There are three kinds of CIPD Foundation Level qualifications: CIPD Foundation level Awards This Award qualification (2-12 credits) has a total qualification time of between 20 (minimum) and 120 (maximum) hours CIPD Foundation level Certificates This Certificate qualification (28 credits) has a total qualification time of 280 hours which includes 140 guided learning hours. CIPD Foundation level Diplomas This Diploma qualification (37 credits) has a total qualification time of 370 hours which includes 185 guided learning hours.
